It is supposed to be summer in Southern Italy but after a couple of weeks of scorching heat, this is what we are left with. A beautiful cloudy sunset over the Mediterranean and a temperature 10 degrees lower than the average summer Italian temperature.
I personally prefer this fresh breeze to the heavy atmosphere we’ve had in the past few weeks, in which even moving thought was difficult. I’ve never been an aficionado of sunbathing, in fact also this year I mostly stayed in the shadow and yet I got a tan, from just running errands when I had to.
Now summer seems to be over, but this feeling won’t last. I bet next week when I’m going to be in London, the sun will start to be super hot here again, this is Southern Italy after all. I won’t miss it, as it makes me be like a snail and I can’t afford to slow down just yet.
